Philips is not breaking up with Google but it is introducing an alternative Titan OS in some of its 2024 LCD models including 'The Xtra' (PML9009) and 'The One' (PUS8909). What is Titan OS? It is a full-fledged linux-based TV platform developed by a partner. The Xtra and The One
Titan OS will be found in this year's 'The Xtra' (PML9009) and 'The One' (PUS8909) LCD TV ranges from Philips. The One has all the essential features you need in a TV in 2024, according to Philips, while The Xtra adds a miniLED backlight to the mix. Philips said the PML9009 LCD TVs represents the step down from OLED, with a miniLED backlight delivering up to 1000 nits peak brightness in 55, 65, 75 and for the first time 85 inches. It did not provide details on the number of dimming zones.
